On May 17, 2003, I was lucky enough to meet the metal thrashing mad guys from Anthrax.
They were doing an album signing at Rolling Stone Records in Chicago, IL and I was determined to be there. I even drug
my antisocial husband along with me. We waiting in line with the other eager fans for our turn to meet the members of
Anthrax. There was a variety of people in line. All ages, races and sex were represented. While we were
waiting in line, a guy came over and asked who wanted to be in an Anthrax video. Of course, I was raising my hand.
Turns out that Anthrax was shooting footage for their "Safe Home" video that day. And I got to be in the video, even
if only for a few seconds. Check out the link below.
Finally, I was in the store and about to meet Anthrax. I met Charlie and Scott first.
I asked for a picture and they said sure. But my husband was having difficulty working my new camera. So Charlie
and Scott were giving him camera tips. They were very nice. Then I shook hands with Rob. Frank introduces
himself to me and shakes my hand. As if I didn't know who he was. I thought that was cute. Actually, John
introduced himself too. They are so funny. They all autographed my cd. The show that night at the House
of Blues was awesome. Thanks to the fellow metalheads who formed a wall between us ladies and the moshpit. I will
be forever grateful.
Pick up Anthrax's new dvd "Music of Mass Destruction" today. It is an awesome live dvd
that was filmed in Chicago, IL.
